Sheetrock

We had to go see the sheetrock for ourselves....

Great room

Great room and foyer

Great room

Master closet.  There will be a large island in the middle to take up a lot of the open space.

Breezeway

I think this door is for the living room.  There will also be two like this in the basement and a couple singles at the mudroom and going out of the breezeway.

Art work on the garage wall???

TV area of the basement.
The closet to the left turned out to be way bigger than we thought.

They've gotten started on the soffit.

We LOVE the front door.  I can't to see it once they get it stained.

It was just a quick trip up there and back but well worth it to see it!

Phone photo update

Brandon sent us a few photos he took of the house today.

It looks like they have most of the sheetrock hung.
Garage.

Kitchen.

Master bedroom.

Foyer.

And they got the front door in!

It hasn't been stained yet but I love it!

We really want to drive up and see it but its such a long trip we'll hopefully just wait until Brad works up there again in a couple weeks.  Hopefully.

Sofas

I can mark a couple items off our wish list.  We've ordered our sofas....
We chose the Pearce sectional in pewter Everyday Suede from Pottery Barn for the basement.  It looks like the one above but has a chaise added to one side.  It also has a hide-a-bed in one love seat just in case we ever needed an extra bed.  This is not one of my favorite sofas as far as design but its super comfortable and will work perfectly for what we need in that space.  We got a great deal on it but not as good as the one for the formal living room!
We choose the Greenwich sofa from Pottery Barn in dark gray velvet for the formal living room.  I've had my heart set on this sofa for over a year and was thrilled to order it today!  The best part is, I didn't have to use any of our hard earned money for it!

I had been saving my rewards from my Pottery Barn credit card for months and also cashed in rewards from our Visa for PB gift cards.   I had enough to get this sofa for FREE!!  What a thrill!

We will use the PB Basic sectional we already have in the sunroom.  I also got a great deal on it about four years ago.  Pottery Barn has been so good to me over the years!!!  :)

The Pearce is actually sitting at the delivery hub in Memphis waiting on us.  They were so nice when I explained that our house isn't ready for furniture yet and will hold it until July.  The Greenwich shouldn't be ready until July so they shouldn't have to hold that one long. (I HOPE!)

Quick update

I had to go to Cave City this past weekend and decided to go through Mountain Home to go home.  Yes, I know that's the long, LONG way home.....

It was worth it to see quite a few updates.  Sheet rock was everywhere.  And it looked like the insulation was finished.  But their trailer was still there, so maybe not.
Lots of ductwork in place.
The outlet in the middle of the living room floor.
Pull down attic stairs.  I hate these things but at least I won't be trying to get a Christmas tree up and down this one.
Pocket for the pocket door.
False wall to hide ductwork and to put the TV on.

Sheetrock was actually hung in the bonus room.
And we had a guest!  Emilee was with me so I showed here around.

Picking rocks

We went to Stevens Stone Supply in Clinton today to pick out our rock.
Paul wanted us to consider fake rock but we've never seen any that we liked so we're going with the real thing.  We chose Arkansas native stone in browns and grays.
We needed 1500 sq. feet for the exterior which was about 23 pallets.
We claimed the ones we liked and they'll deliver them when we're ready.  We can't use this rock inside the house because it's too heavy.  But we found what we want so we just need to figure out how much of that we need.

Shingles, water, and stairs

The shingles are on!
And luckily we were pleased with our choice.   After we chose the color I was afraid it would be too brown once they got them on.  But there really isn't any hint of brown at all.
The eyebrow at the end of the garage.

They finished digging the well last week.
The guy who did the work said he had dug most of the other wells in the development and had to go to about 200-300 feet.  We weren't nearly as lucky.  He had to go to 580 feet to get water.  And of course, he charges by the foot.

They also got the stairs to the bonus room built.  Paul had been saying that they would be kind of narrow and steep but he ended up changing it so they will be really easy to get things up and down.  We were a little worried about how steep they would be so we were super happy with them.
And we think we'll have plenty of room to park Brad's Toyota behind them.
This was my first time in the bonus room.  It going to be nice extra space.

They also put the beams in the great room upstairs.  I thought it was funny that someone had to point them out to me.  I really thought they would stand out but right now, they really don't.
Brad was checking out the attic.

Google Maps

Brad noticed a few days ago that Google had updated the images of Coppercreek.

Mostly only concrete work had been finished at that point.

Its neat to see how it lays out in reference to the road, the creek, and the nearest houses.

I wish I had saved the image before we started construction so we would have it for comparison purposes.
